Lord Botetourt sophomore Olivia Pierce hit a home run and pitched a shutout to lead the Cavaliers to a 4-0 win over Hidden Valley Monday. The win in Daleville avenged a prior loss to the Titans in Roanoke County as the Cavs evened their record at 2-2.
Pierce allowed just three hits in picking up the win. She joined Callie Shuler, Abby Perkey and Gracie Sargent who all drove in runs for LB.
“It was a great team win,” said coach Megan Cook.
Last week the Cavaliers fell to Magna Vista, 11-1, in a non-district game. LB will host Franklin County in a Blue Ridge District game this Friday and next Monday, April 13, Pulaski County comes here.
