Play resumes across all fields as teams return from break

Weather permitting, spring sports are back and running this week as the Botetourt County school teams return from break.

Lord Botetourt had a full schedule of action Tuesday against William Byrd opponents and more events today. Both the boys and girls soccer teams will be at Franklin County today, Wednesday, and the softball team will host Rockbridge. The track team has a meet at Staunton River.

On Thursday the boys tennis team is at Alleghany, and on Friday Staunton River will be the opponent for four games with baseball and girls soccer at home while the softball and boys soccer teams play at Staunton River.

On Saturday the track team is at a meet at Amherst.

James River also has a full slate of action this week. Soccer games for both boys and girls at Giles were postponed on Monday and will be made up today. The baseball team is at Riverheads today.

On Thursday the baseball team is at Alleghany and the softball team will host Alleghany. The soccer teams are both on the road against Alleghany in Low Moor.
