Roanoke College senior Nate Prince, a Lord Botetourt High grad, is hitting .372 for the Maroon baseball team while playing a flawless centerfield. Through 12 games Nate has a .472 on-base percentage while batting leadoff for RC. He’s second on the team with 10 runs scored and second on the club with five stolen bases. He’s walked nine times and only struck out three times in 53 total plate appearances. In the outfield Prince has 26 putouts and has yet to make an error. The Maroons are 10-2 overall after sweeping two games from Bridgewater College in their ODAC debut at Salem Memorial Ballpark last Saturday, winning 6-5 and 11-5. After two non-conference games with SUNY Cobleskill this week the Maroons will head to Ashland for an ODAC doubleheader against Randolph-Macon Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.
