The Botetourt County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, May 12, at 6 p.m. to consider a rezoning request that could bring industrial development to a large parcel just south of Hollins.
The hearing will take place at the Botetourt County Administration Center, 57 S. Center Drive, Daleville.
Palm Way Investments LLC is requesting that 87.871 acres currently zoned for agricultural use (A-1) be rezoned to industrial use (M-2), with potential proffered conditions. The property is located adjacent to 955 Lee Highway (U.S. Route 11), roughly 0.3 miles south of the Lee Highway and Bryant Road (State Route 1007) intersection. The development, if approved, could represent a shift in the land use pattern along this stretch of Route 11.
Residents are encouraged to provide feedback on the proposal. Public comments may be delivered in person at the hearing or submitted in advance by:
- Email: planning@botetourtva.gov
- Online form: www.botetourtva.gov
- Mail: 57 S. Center Drive, Daleville, 24083
Mailed comments must be received by Friday, May 9, and online/email submissions are due by 9 a.m. on May 12, the day of the hearing.
