Radford City Police are investigation allegations of an attempted child abduction that occurred Saturday evening.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., Radford City Police responded to the 700 block of Twelfth Street in the West end of Radford for a reported attempted abduction near the elementary school. A parent reported the incident and said it occurred around 6 p.m.

Three children, between the ages of 7 and 8 years old, stated a small compact car, dark in color, with two males inside approached them and offered them money to get into the vehicle.

The vehicle is believed to be an older model red and black Mitsubishi Eclipse or Camaro with a spoiler on the back. The bottom of the vehicle is believed to be red, with a black hood and black on the sides below the doors. It may also be convertible. Some damage is believed to be on one side of the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle is believed to be a white male, while the passenger was described as a dark-skinned male possibly wearing a black hat. No other information is available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Radford Police Department at 731-3624.
