It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Edward “Eddie” Lee, 66, of Blue Ridge. Eddie passed away very unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Eddie was born February 22, 1955 to Robert Erskine Lee and Christine McClung Lee. He was predeceased in death by his father, Robert Erskine Lee, and his mother, Christine McClung Lee, and is survived by his aunts and cousins.
Eddie lived in Botetourt County his entire life and was a 1973 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School. He was a multi-generation farmer at his family home in Fincastle where he worked and resided until 2016 when he moved to Blue Ridge. Eddie also worked in construction and volunteered with the Fincastle Volunteer Rescue Squad. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He enjoyed chatting with family and friends. He also loved baking. He was very thoughtful and would often make desserts and deliver them to family and friends “just because.” His family and friends would describe him as one of the kindest guys you could ever meet.
