Gladys Fay Rasnick, 95, of Fincastle, passed away at her home Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
Gladys was born in Vansant, Va. and lived in Fincastle for the last 70 years. She was the daughter of the late Emaline Malissa Anderson.
Gladys enjoyed traveling and made several trips around the country and Great Britain. She enjoyed her family, cooking, flowers, working puzzles, and WWE wrestling. Her favorite wrestler was Roman Reigns.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, George Rasnick in 2004, and seven brothers and sisters.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Dennis Wayne (Teresa) Rasnick of Fincastle, Dorothy Gale Jones of Vinton, and Dolores Zahn of Sanford, Fla.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service honoring her life was held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 28 in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens with Pastor Harry Hudson officiating. The family received friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Rader Funeral Home, Daleville.
