The Friends of the Buchanan Library will be holding a reception on Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m., to celebrate the mural, designed and painted by artist Cheyenne Marcus, the new garden, and a plaque dedicated to Joe Ryder, who made it his mission to form the Friends of the Buchanan Library. The ceremony will take place at the back of the Buchanan Library off of Lowe Street. Cookies and beverages will be served.
This is a celebration of an area behind the Buchanan Library that has been transformed from an uninspiring space to a beautiful garden, a delightful mural to inspire anyone’s imagination, and dedication to a dear friend. Friends members hope that everyone will join them.
