James David Reed, of Fincastle, passed away peacefully February 25, 2026. He was 70. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Judy Reed; brother, Stephen Reed; and stepson, Michael Zarobinski.
He is survived by wife, Bridget; daughter, Erica; stepchildren, Edward (Becky), Nichole (DJ), Susan (Eric); grandchildren, Brent, Josilyn, Edward, Amara, Jessika, Zane and Maggie; brothers, Roger and John (Michelle); niece, Jessica; nephews, Jimmy (Amanda), John (McKenna), Zack (Elena); plus extended loving family and lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Daleville on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 5-7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Church of the Transfiguration in Fincastle with Father Zaverio “Xavier” Banasula officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
