Esther Leah Taylor Reynolds, 83, of Troutville, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
She was a longtime member of Rainbow Forest Baptist Church, and was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway Company.
Preceding her in death was an infant daughter, Angela Dawn Reynolds; parents, Howard and Eva Wheeler Taylor; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Lloyd Gregory, Betty and Charles Hawley, Rebekah and Jimmy Cox, and Mary and Joseph Smith; two nephews; and one niece.
She is survived by her husband, Rodger Edward Reynolds; son, Jason Matthew Reynolds and his wife, Kim; granddaughter, Riley Nichole Reynolds; many nieces and nephews; and two longtime friends, Wilda Morris and Brenda Barksdale.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. Interment will immediately follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.
