The James River golfers finished fourth in a match at Great Oaks Monday, hosted by Floyd County.

The Knights finished just one stroke behind Glenvar, who was in third place. Host Floyd was the team winner and Giles was second.

Ryan Steger had the low score for James River with a 79. Silas Miller had an 89 and Joey Schroeder posted a 94.

Last Thursday at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club, the Knights got in nine holes before the rest of the match was rained out. Steger had a 38 and Miller had 41 to lead the Knights.

The Knights are back in action Thursday of this week with a match at Hanging Rock in Roanoke County.

Lord Botetourt did not have a match in the past week. The Cavaliers were rained out of a match at the Westlake Country Club in Hardy.

LB had a Blue Ridge District match on Tuesday at Blue Hills, but results were too late for publication. Botetourt is scheduled to host Salem in a nine-hole match at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club on Thursday of this week.
