Robert (Bobby) Noel, 86, of Daleville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
He was a member of Daleville Church of the Brethren, a graduate of Virginia Tech, Class of 1957, and retired from Lord Botetourt High School after teaching for 34 years. Bobby was a member of the National FFA, advisor of the National Young Farmer’s Association, and a member of Troutville Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert S. Noel II on August 22, 2020; his parents, Thurman and Beulah Noel; sister, Betty Graves; brother, Frank Noel Jr. and his wife, Edith; sister-in-law, Audrey Noel; and brother-in-law, John Damerel.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Doris Noel; son, Roger Noel and wife, Raven; grandchildren, Stephen Noel and wife, Kayla, Holly Walsh and husband, James, Madison Noel and fiancé, Mike Wallace, Mia Noel; one great-grandchild, Sam; brother, Ernest Noel; sister, Anna Damerel; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Libby and Bill Keyser; sister-in-law, Shirley Hill.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Oakey’s East Chapel with Pastors Tom and Naomi Powers officiating. Interment was in Daleville Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Arrangements by Oakey’s East Chapel, 540-977-3909.
