Find out about a project to improve the intersection of Route 220 (Roanoke Road)
and Route 779 (Catawba Road) in Botetourt County. This project entails extending
the Route 220 northbound left turn lane at the intersection of Route 779 and closing
the crossover along Route 220 at the intersection of Route 779 (Valley Road).

the form of a Programmatic Categorical Exclusion at VDOT’s Salem District Office

answer your questions.
If your concerns cannot be satisfied, VDOT is willing to hold a public hearing. You
may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to Jon Hall,
Virginia Department of Transportation, 731 Harrison Avenue, Salem, VA 24153 on or
prior to October 22, 2026.
If a request for a public hearing is received, notice of date, time and place of the
hearing will be posted.
