Botetourt County
Find out about a project to reduce congestion and
improve safety at the intersection of Route 460 (Blue
Ridge Boulevard) and Route 659 (Laymantown Road)
in Botetourt County. The project entails added a right
turn lane from westbound Route 460 onto Route 659.
In addition, the bridge on Route 659 over Laymantown
Creek will be replaced with a concrete box culvert.

If your concerns cannot be satisfied, VDOT is willing
to hold a public hearing. You may request that a
public hearing be held by sending a written request to
Jesse Weitzenfeld, Virginia Department of
Transportation, 731 Harrison Avenue, Salem, VA
24153 on or prior to June 8, 2023. If a request for a
public hearing is received, notice of date, time and
place of the hearing will be posted.
