The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office will host its next Senior Social this Friday, Aug, 21, at 11:30 a.m. at Fincastle Baptist Church, 7330 Roanoke Road in Fincastle. The event is part of the Sheriff’s Office Senior Focus Outreach Program, which connects seniors with community resources while promoting safety, wellness, and community engagement.
The guest speaker will be Stephen Davies, the Outreach Specialist with InnovAge. He will provide an overview of Virginia PACE, explaining how its coordinated medical care, transportation, in-home services, and social supports help eligible older adults remain safely and independently in their homes and communities.
A variety of public and private service providers will also be on-site to provide information and answer questions about senior resources, including daily well-being checks, health and wellness, financial resources, future care needs, and other programs available to seniors.
The event, all services, and lunch are provided free of charge to members of the senior community in Botetourt County.
For more information, contact Community Outreach Coordinator Andrea Mundy at 540-928-2233.
Residents are encouraged to share this event with senior friends, neighbors, and family members in Botetourt County.
