Numerous thefts from vehicles in Botetourt County have occurred during July and August in Botetourt County, according to the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect is breaking into vehicles during the night in area neighborhoods and stealing numerous items, including pocketbooks and other valuables. The suspect is then using the stolen credit cards to make purchases at area stores.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds residents to lock their vehicles and take valuables inside their homes.
