It was a slow week for the local tennis teams, who hope to get back on the courts this week if the weather permits.
The LB boys had a match with Salem postponed by rain and Franklin County does not have a team, so the Cavaliers’ next match was Tuesday of this week. They’re scheduled to make up the Salem match Thursday in Salem.
The girls were also rained out against Salem and hope to get the rematch in on Thursday at Hollins University. The girls beat Franklin County, 9-0, last week without losing a single game.
James River’s girls hosted Glenvar on Monday at Hollins and fell 7-2. The girls are back home next Monday, May 11, to host Floyd County.
