The Botetourt Farmers Market held their Thanksgiving Market at the Daleville Town Center last Saturday. The morning’s weather was lovely for a mid-November morning after quite the windy week in Botetourt.
The market featured colorful pumpkins donated by Hillside Plants & Produce that eighth grade art classes painted at Central Academy Middle School. The James River Marching Band provided seasonal melodies to help get shoppers into the holiday spirit.
The market saw the highest single-day sales in its history, with over 2,000 customers visiting local friends and vendors. Customers who arrived late to see their favorite vendors sold out of items need not worry. Most vendors are currently taking preorders for the Christmas Market next month on Saturday, Dec. 18.
