After two years away due to COVID-19, the Barracuda swim team is returning to the Limestone Park pool. The team looks forward to a great year with Head Coach Bobby Braaten and Assistant Coach Dave Jolley.

Braaten is a long-time coach working most recently with Star City Aquatic team, Vinton Area swim team, and the Gators swim team. Jolley has worked many summer seasons with the Ashley Plantation swim team. They both have experience teaching swimmers of all ages and experience ranging from beginner to competitive racers.

They are joined by Austin Nielsen, a senior at William Byrd who has competed in year-round swim for years and is interested in learning the coaching side of swim.

The Limestone Park pool, in Buchanan, was renovated before the start of the pandemic. Membership options include a swim team only membership that will allow swimmers access to the pool for practices. Members who would like to join early may do so.

All interested swimmers are welcome to join the Barracudas team. Check out the Limestone Park Barracudas Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LimestoneSwim for more details.
