The Town of Fincastle has announced plans for its annual Halloween festivities, set to take place this Friday evening. To ensure a safe and enjoyable event for families and visitors, Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The evening’s activities will begin with a special announcement from Botetourt County Sheriff Matt Ward, officially kicking off trick-or-treating.
In preparation for the event, the town is asking residents and community members to donate candy in advance at the Fincastle Town Office (25 Bank Square) by noon on Friday. The collected candy will be distributed prior to the start of trick-or-treating. Monetary donations are also being accepted through Venmo (@Townof-Fincastle) and should be marked as “Halloween donation.”
All properties located along Main Street are encouraged to join in the celebration by handing out candy and dressing in costume. The town has noted a growing enthusiasm for Halloween decorations this year and plans to showcase community displays on its official Facebook page.
The town extends its appreciation to residents, businesses, and visitors for helping make this year’s Halloween celebration a fun and festive evening for all.
