The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce its continued partnership with Toys 4 Bot-E-Tots for this year’s annual toy drive and fundraiser event. “Together, we are once again uniting with the community to ensure every child in Botetourt has a brighter Christmas,” said Sheriff Matt Ward.
The annual campaign, which has become a cherished tradition, collects new unwrapped toys and donations that are distributed to local families in need. Thanks to the generosity of the community, last year’s effort placed countless gifts under the trees for children who might otherwise have gone without.
“We are excited to partner with Toys 4 Bot-E-Tots again this year,” said Sheriff Ward. “The holidays are about family, giving, and community. This program represents all three, and we are grateful to the citizens of Botetourt who continue to step up and make it possible.”
The toy drive campaign has officially kicked off, with donations and drop-off sites being set up at convenient locations across the county. The fundraiser event will feature a poker run presented by Purgatory Mountain Chapter, ABATE of Virginia, giving participants a chance to hit the open road for a great cause. Riders will enjoy scenic routes through Botetourt County while collecting cards at each stop. The best hand at the end of the ride wins a prize – but the real winners are the children who will benefit from the generosity of the community. All monies raised will go directly toward purchasing toys and supporting local children in Botetourt County.
