Troop 137 helps landscape new Eagle Rock Library

Boy Scout Troop 137 spent much of the day Saturday dressing up the grounds at the new Eagle Rock Library that will open in April.

The Scouts and leaders planted shrubs, spread mulch around the new trees, and filled and raked the landscaped around the new building that sits just off US 220 and in front of Eagle Rock Elementary School.

Scouts participating in the community service project included (from left), front, Caleb White, Shawn DiRocco, James Mason; second row, David Wright, Joe Kettelson, Mitchell Alexander, Eric Reynolds, Kris Hoffman; back row, Assistant Scoutmaster Mark Alexander, Botetourt County Parks & Recreation Department Supervisor Bob Martin, Assistant Scoutmaster Ken DiRocco, Assistant Scoutmaster Todd Mason,  Assistant Scoutmaster Daina Reynolds, and Scoutmaster Mark Woodie. Not pictured Scout Dax Hodges and Assistant Scoutmaster Gordon McCoy.
