Saturday, March 28, 3-6 p.m., the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience: “Out of Many, One,” an interactive “museum on wheels,” will be positioned beside the historic Wilson Warehouse in Buchanan.
The VA250 Mobile Museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore the true meaning of E Pluribus Unum – “Out of Many, One” – in a museum like no other. “Out of Many, One,” shares key stories of Virginia’s rich history, traveling to community events and cultural sites across the Commonwealth and highlighting every region of the state.
More than just a static display, “Out of Many, One” is a cutting-edge, immersive, and hands-on exhibition housed within a custom-built 53-foot expandable tractor-trailer. Utilizing high-tech displays, interactive exhibits, and compelling artifacts, the museum offers visitors of all ages an engaging journey through the pivotal events, groundbreaking ideas, and diverse individuals who shaped America in its earliest days. It highlights Virginia’s essential contributions as the birthplace of the nation and its ongoing pursuit of a more perfect union.
Established by the General Assembly in 2020, “VA250” serves to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the Revolutionary War, and the Independence of the United States in the Commonwealth of Virginia. From its founding ideals to its leading figures, more of what made America happen, happened here in Virginia.
Admission to the museum is free. It is handicap-accessible. For more information, go to va250.org/mobile-museum.
