Bryan Stanley Walker passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at his home in Fincastle, with his wife, Cheryl, by his side.

He was born in Stones Green near the town of Harwich, in the English County of Essex, England on December 11, 1944, to Stanley and Dorothy Morgan Walker. Bryan was a member of Bonsack Baptist Church and most recently retired as President of Tabor Machine Company, Princeton, W.Va. His work at Tabor and earlier days with Screening Systems facilitated the opportunity for travel all over the world. He was a generous, kind, and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Walker, and his mother, Dorothy Walker Miller.

Left to cherish his memory are his adoring wife, Cheryl Walker; daughter, Caroline Jackson of Manchester, England; son, Andrew (Leeza) Walker of Manchester, England; grandchildren, Ashleigh Jackson, Emily Grace Jackson, Matthew, Luke, and Evan Walker, and Paul Jackson, all of Manchester, England; brother, Alan (Vera) Walker; niece, Angie (Darren) Walker and their children, Sophia and Evie, all of Accrington, England; in-laws, Peggy and C.W. Markham of Daleville; sister-in-law, Joyce Terrell of Waynesboro, and her children, Bethany Sturgill and Caleb Terrell; and special godsons, Nicholas Peters of Norfolk and Christopher Peters of Blacksburg.

A special thank you to friend and caregiver Mary Cook and the Good Samaritan Hospice staff, especially Nadia, Brittany, and Teresa.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bonsack Baptist Church, 4845 Cloverdale Road, Roanoke, 24019 with Dr. Chris Cadenhead officiating later in March. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department at 25 Vine Street, Fincastle, 24090. Arrangements are by Oakey’s East Chapel, Roanoke, (540) 977-3909. Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.Oakeys.com.

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” Isaiah 40:31.
