Lily Hill E. Williamson, 91, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully with her loving family beside her on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Williamson; siblings Charlotte (Zach) Phillips and Waring (Evelyn) Edwards; her sister-in-law Dorothy W. Howard; and brother-in-law Fred P. Williamson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, J.L. Williamson and D. Ray Williamson; grandchildren, Megan and Forrest Kessler, Scott Williamson, Sarah and Kevin Kerwin, Caroline Williamson; honorary grandchildren, Matt Marshall and Brian Kelley; great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Meemaw,” David Kessler and Haidyn Kessler; and many nieces and nephews.
Lily was a very special woman. She always had a smile and a hello for everyone. She was part of the Waskey’s Mill Community for many years. She will be missed by many. “She will never be gone, but forever in our hearts.”
Visitation was on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Funeral services were at Wheatland Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, with Pastor Chuck Miller officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
