Young Professionals Organization relaunch May 4 for ‘eXperience’

The Botetourt County (BOCO) Young Professionals Organization (YPO) is for all young professionals who live or work in Botetourt County and are looking to network, build business relationships or just meet new people to help them succeed in their careers.

BOCO YPO brings together some of the most influential and connected thinkers in the Botetourt County region, organizers say, and the goal of the organization is for young professionals to see Botetourt as a place to meet like-minded leaders, empower their career success, pursue their dreams, raise a family, and explore the outdoors.

“Business in Botetourt is thriving, through the retention and connection of Young Professionals to the opportunities in our area, we will be able to create a new, beneficial business culture for all,” said Hannah Emerson, Marketing and Events Coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce.

The re-launch of the BOCO YPO will be on May 4 at Ballast Point during the “eXperience Young Professionals Conference” kick-off, which will be followed by the conference on the May 5 at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke.

“Now in our fourth year, eXperience is beyond excited to be a part of the momentum of talent growth and retention as it booms throughout the region,” stated Taylor Spellman, co-chair of eXperience. “It will always be our committee’s goal to help future leaders thrive and we are thrilled to support Botetourt County’s successes as they re-launch their YP organization at our conference kick-off event.”

eXperience is a collaborative group of young professionals who coordinate events that connect industry leaders, visionaries and educators with the region’s next generation of trail blazers.

The May 5 eXperience Conference is designed to bring together industry and government leaders, speakers and visionaries, and by doing that help young professionals realize what the region has to offer in the way of jobs, quality of life, arts, culture and affordable living.
