The Buchanan Lions Club will present “Minions and Monsters” free to the public this Saturday, Sept. 19, at dusk (8 p.m.) at the Buchanan Town Park (weather permitting).
With renovations at the historic Buchanan Theater now underway, the Lions will show G-Rated movies numerous times over the next year.
With funding help from the Buchanan Library, Buchanan Lions, Friends of the Buchanan Library and the Town Improvement Society, the Lions are presenting the movies along with the coordinated help of Botetourt Parks and Recreation (supplying the projector and screen), and the Buchanan Theater, (use of its popcorn popper).
Also, the Town Improvement Society will be selling a hot dog, chips, and a soda for $5.
The Lions suggest you bring folding chairs, a blanket and bug spray, and to turn off all cell phones and arrive early for best seats. Parking is free across the street.
They will also be polling the audience at the food tables for the next G-Rated showing October 10.
