Hildegard Katherenia Sullivan was presented to the world on June 19, 1931, from the small German city of Neuschwanstein Castle, which literally translates to New Swan Stone Castle, located in the beautiful Bavarian region of Germany. She left her earthly surroundings of 91 years to join God and the angels on December 30, 2022.
Her life started within the bowels of the Great Depression and World War II was just around the corner, which molded a frugal, independent and wise woman, like many from that era.
Hilda, which she answered to from friends and family, left behind her two sons and two daughters, Michael, Gloria, Doris and Savant. Michael, the oldest, and his wife Anna had the privilege of tending and caring for her and her husband Joseph, also deceased, within their home. Michael noted that she went to sleep and stayed asleep as the angels escorted her on her way.
Hilda came to this country from Germany in her early adult years at 22. She learned the English language one word at a time from reading the famed Perry Mason books. She started a new and wonderful life in America, got married and raised four outstanding children, whom she loved with gentle yet spiritual ways. She traveled many times back to Germany to share her devoted love to sisters and brothers of which she had such fond memories till her death.
Hilda was a kind, funny and frank woman who always spoke the truth. She followed the tenants of solid worship and a belief that all should know God and His favor. She will be missed by all who loved and adored her.
