The United Way of the Roanoke Valley (UWRV) recently unveiled heroes in distinct categories, each aligning to UWRV initiatives. In week four of its “100 Heroes Project” the organization celebrated local unsung heroes in Volunteerism The organization sent a congratulations to some heroes right here in the community who are making a difference by selflessly giving of their time and talents.
UWRV expressed appreciation in a recent press release for those individuals who nominated the local heroes deserving of the recognition. Bill Price of Sirens & Salutes in Buchanan was part of the most recent unveiling.
Price, along with UWRV’s other “100 Heroes,” will be recognized at the Salem Red Sox’s “UWRV Night” on June 7.
