
Attic Productions invites the public to the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center, as the cast brings Oscar Wilde’s gothic masterpiece “The Picture of Dorian Gray” to life. This version is adapted for stage by Merlin Holland and John O’Connor and directed by Angela McNeil. The show runs October 8-11 and 15-18, with Thursday and Friday performances at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday shows at 2:30 p.m.
Set in the decadent world of Victorian London, a beautiful young man called Dorian Gray becomes infatuated by the exquisite portrait that Basil Hallward has painted of him. This gripping stage adaptation follows the dark descent of Dorian Gray, a stunningly beautiful young man who makes a desperate, unholy wish – that he might remain forever young while his painted portrait grows old and bears the scars of his sins
The theater is located at 7490 Roanoke Road near historic Fincastle. Adult tickets are $20, students 18 and under and groups of 10 or more are $15 when paid in cash or by check at the box office.
