The annual Blue Ridge Invitational cross country race, hosted by Lord Botetourt and James River, will be held this Saturday at the Greenfield course in Daleville.
LB and River runners will be among close 30 teams expected to attend the race, including Hidden Valley, Cave Spring and Patrick Henry. The day will begin with a race at 9:30 a.m. for the middle school boys, followed by a middle school girls race at 10:15 a.m. The boys varsity will take the gun at 11 a.m., with the girls varsity at 11:45. There will be a jayvee race for both boys and girls at 12:30 p.m.
“This is also home of the Blue Ridge District race this year, so it will be a great practice for many of the teams attending,” said LB coach Elizabeth Wilson.
Today, James River is scheduled to run in the East Mont Invitational at Camp Alta Mons in Shawsville.
