This Moss Rose tea set is from around 1880 and was donated to the Botetourt County Historical Society by Harriet Fillinger. A teacup, saucer, tea pitcher, and small pitcher are shown; the sugar bowl has significant damage and is not shown. The set was one of the first items donated to the BCHS Museum when it opened in 1966. It is part of a special new exhibit on the first floor of what is now called the Botetourt Museum of History & Culture. All of the artifacts in the display show the community pride invested in the opening of Botetourt County’s historical museum in 1966.
