Attic Productions’ next presentation, “A Most Horrid Conspiracy,” written by local playwright Dwayne Yancey, and directed by Attic veteran Katerina Yancey, runs May 28-31 with Thursday and Friday performances at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday shows at 2:30 p.m. Attic’s D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center is located at 7490 Roanoke Road, Fincastle.
Presented in collaboration with the Botetourt Historical Society and Smithfield Plantation in Blacksburg, this historical drama is based on a true story. Set in the mid-to-late 1820s in a frontier cabin in Rush County, Ind., it follows widower John Wyatt, a man in his late 70s living with his daughter and grandchild. As he recounts a Revolutionary War story to his granddaughter, she takes on several roles throughout the one-act play.
Adult tickets are $20, students 18 and under and groups of 10 or more are $15 when paid in cash or by check at the box office.
