Botetourt Youth Extravaganza at the Y

Organizations like Character Counts and Botetourt 4-H engaged with families who attended last Saturday’s Youth Extravaganza.

Families gathered at the Botetourt Family YMCA for the “Botetourt Youth Extravaganza at the Y” over the weekend. Children of all ages experienced a story corner, crafts, exercise class, an a “ninja course,” Pickleball, and a homemade boat float challenge.

Throughout the event, families could get stamped to win prizes at booths that featured local organizations TAP Head Start, Li’l Scholars, Smart Beginnings, Carilion Safe Kids, Community Health Outreach, Orchard Hills, Bonsack Weekday Early Education Center (WEEC), Blue Ridge Behavior Health, Bank of Botetourt, Botetourt 4-H, BOCO Library Summer Reading, Character Counts, Lions Blub, YMCA Youth Programming, Girl Schools, BCPS Preschools, and more.

Families had the opportunity to participate in fun activities throughout the extravaganza. Here, children play with some of the games and puzzles with the Bonsack WEEC.
Local organizations met many Botetourt families throughout the event.
