Cow Bell Service at Mt. Joy Saturday
All are invited to a Cow Bell Service at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren. The church is located at 2565 Buffalo Road, Buchanan.
Special service tonight at Fincastle Presbyterian
Fincastle Presbyterian Church will host a Wednesday Wholeness and Healing Prayer Service on April 22 at 5 p.m. All are invited to attend. This short service of quiet, music, and prayer will be held in the sanctuary at 108 E. Back Street in Fincastle. A light supper and time of fellowship will follow in the fellowship hall.
Buchanan Food Pantry open Saturday
The next Food Pantry distribution from the Buchanan Presbyterian Church is April 25, hosted by volunteers from Buchanan Baptist Church from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. They will be distributing meat, milk and staples at the curb. Anyone who needs food is welcome. The church is at 19559 Main Street, Buchanan.
If anyone would like to help with this mission, gifts of food can be brought to the church and left at the pastor’s office door if no one is there, or dropped in the box at Southern Girls Mercantile at 19812 Main Street, Buchanan. Monetary gifts can be sent to the church at P.O. Box 517, Buchanan, 24066.
Mt. Bethel Cemetery donations needed
Donations would be appreciated for the Mt. Bethel Church of the Brethren Cemetery upkeep this summer. The cemetery is located off Narrow Passage Road, Eagle Rock. Please send donations to Etta Alexander, P.O. Box 5, Eagle Rock, 24085.
May dates for Eagle Rock Clothes Closet
The Eagle Rock Community Clothes Closet located on Church Street in Eagle Rock will be open Saturdays, May 2 and May 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and Wednesday, May 6, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. It offers ladies’, men’s and children’s clothing, as well as shoes and toys at no charge. Bags will be provided and please honor the bag limit posted.

Mowing season is here and donations for maintenance of the Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery are welcome. Cloverdale Thrift Store spring items
The spring collection has arrived at the Thrift Store at Cloverdale Church of the Brethren. It has beautiful jackets for $2 and all summer shirts are $1, with a wide variety of summer shoes. There are some great deals on kitchenware. Donations are welcome. The Thrift Store is open 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturdays.
Fincastle UMC offering free dinner
Everyone is welcome to the free Terrific Tuesdays Church and Community Dinner at Fincastle United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center, at 137 S. Church Street, on the last Tuesday of each month. Dinner will be served from 5:30-7 p.m.
