- Palm Sunday – April 2, 10 a.m.
Liturgy of the Palms with the Passion Reading from the Gospel according to Matthew and Holy Communion at 10 a.m.
- Maundy Thursday – April 6, 7 p.m.
Service of Holy Communion with optional foot washing.
- Good Friday Liturgy – April 7, 7 p.m.

Easter celebration at Colonial Baptist
Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge invites you to Easter services on April 9, beginning with a Sunrise Service at 7 a.m., followed by Easter breakfast at 8 a.m. (bring a dish), and 9 a.m. Sunday School and Adult Bible Fellowships.
The Easter celebration continues at 10 a.m. with an original musical program entitled “Living Hope.”

Easter Sunday events at Galatia
The public is invited to an Easter Sunrise Service April 9 at 7 a.m. at Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 78 Gala Loop Road, Eagle Rock.
Please bring flowers for the cross, which will be walked to after the service. A potluck breakfast will begin directly afterwards. Worship will be at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary (no Sunday School). The pastor, the Rev. Emily B. Hook, will lead all services.
Community Easter Service in Buchanan
The Buchanan Area Ministerial Association has announced a Community Sunrise Service on April 9. It will be held at 7 a.m. at the Pavilion at Fairview Cemetery.
Zion Hill Baptist Easter services
Celebrate the Risen Lord and Savior with Zion Hill Baptist Church.
A Sonrise service will be held at 8 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Breakfast will follow the service. Pastor Don Goforth will lead the worship service at 10 a.m. There will be no Sunday School.
Springwood Baptist Church events for April
- April 7, Good Friday Service at 6:30 p.m.
- April 9, Easter Sunrise at 7:30 a.m. and breakfast to follow; Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.
- April 30, potluck after worship for fellowship time with one another, bring favorite foods to share
Easter services, revival at Daleville Baptist
Daleville Baptist Church will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. on April 7. The Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. on April 9 will be followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall.
Revival services will be held April 16-19 with Kenny Grant from Savannah, Ga. – Sunday, April 16, 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.; and at 7 p.m. April 17-19.
Glade Creek Baptist Easter activities
Glade Creek Baptist will have a Good Friday worship service on Friday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Glade Creek will once again host the Blue Ridge Community Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 9 at 7 a.m. in Glade Creek Cemetery. The service will be led by Pastor Steve McChesney, Pastor Emeritus Dr. Philip Ayers and the Rev. Aaron Lyles.
Easter egg hunt at New Beginnings
New Beginnings Assembly of God, Buchanan, is having an Easter egg hunt this Sunday, April 9 after the church service, which begins at 10 a.m. All are welcome to this free event.
Free Lunch Saturday at Solomon’s Mission
Second Saturday Free Lunch at Solomon’s Mission in Buchanan is this Saturday, April 8, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The lunch will consist of grilled hot dogs, chips, mac and cheese, beans, dessert and drinks, provided by Community Church. Easter bags will be given to kids by the Buchanan Lions Club.
Austin & Friends will present ‘Psalm 23’ concerts
David Austin & Friends will present a series of concerts featuring songs inspired by and based on Psalm 23. The performances, including one in Botetourt County, will deliver all new and original compositions in a variety of musical styles.

Children’s Fun Day at Troutville Park
Troutville Baptist Church invites area children to an Easter Fun Day at Troutville Park from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 8. Activities will include an Easter egg hunt, games and prizes, along with a free hot dog lunch.
Ebenezer UMC bake sale Saturday
Ebenezer United Methodist Church will have a bake sale Saturday, April 8, across from Nace Road at the Virginian Markette from 8 a.m. till 12 p.m. There will be baked goods and Easter eggs. Hot dogs will ready at 10:30 a.m.
Buchanan Food Pantry open April 8
The Buchanan Presbyterian Church Food Pantry will be open on Saturday, April 8. Curbside distribution takes place at the church, 19559 Main Street, from 9-11 a.m. Volunteers from Buchanan Baptist Church will be giving out food to those in need in Botetourt County.
Cloverdale Brethren Thrift Store has summer clothes
The Cloverdale Church of the Brethren Thrift Store now has spring and summer clothes for the family. The shop has a large selection of tops, skirts, dresses and pants. Men’s shirts and pants and children’s clothes are also available. Hours are Saturdays, 9 to 12. Donations are always welcome.
The Food Pantry is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Shiloh Cemetery needs donations
Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery on Shiloh Road, Eagle Rock, is asking for those who have loved ones buried in the cemetery or own plots to give monetary donations to help with the upkeep of the cemetery. Expenses for gasoline, equipment and labor have gone up. If you have any questions, call 540-620-2625, or are interested in a final resting place. Fincastle UMC Chicken BBQ April 22
Fincastle United Methodist Church is having a chicken dinner from 4-7 p.m. on April 22, dine in or take out, at the VFW Hall on Route 220, Daleville.
The cost is $12 per person for half a barbecued chicken (featuring Percy Bolton’s sauce recipe), potato salad, baked apples, roll and choice of coffee, tea or lemonade. Desserts will be sold separately.
