Mt. Carmel hymn sing Feb. 8
Mt. Carmel Church, Eagle Rock, will host a hymn sing on Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will follow. All are welcome.
Community dinner at Buchanan Presbyterians
Buchanan Presbyterian Church is inviting the community to dinner on the first Wednesday of each month. Come for food and fellowship at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 19559 Main Street, Buchanan. There is no charge; however, any donations will be used for the Food Bank.
Eagle Rock Clothes Closet February dates
The Eagle Rock Community Clothes Closet at 14565 Church Street, Eagle Rock, will be open on Saturdays, Feb. 7 and Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. sIt has clothing for men, women, and children, as well as shoes, household items and toys, all at no charge. Bags are provided and patrons are asked to honor the bag limit.
Clothing donations should be made in bags, using the donation box outside the church. For larger donations or to volunteer to help with this community-wide mission, contact Ray Sandifer at 540-525-0258.
Pleasant Hill food box distribution Feb. 14
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will have food boxes available Feb. 14 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the church or at the Eagle Rock Library. If weather is not suitable, contact the church to arrange pick up at a later date.
Shrove Tuesday meal at Trinity UMC
Trinity United Methodist Church invites the public to an “All-You-Can-Eat” Shrove Tuesday pancake meal on Feb. 17. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, coffee and juice will be served between 4 and 7 p.m. on that Tuesday.
The meal is free and open to the public. “Love” offerings will be accepted.
Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 10637 Main Street, Buchanan. The meal will be served in the fellowship hall, enter off Washington Street.
