Jimmy Wayne Fleshman of Cloverdale passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was born on November 4, 1946, in Roanoke at Lewis Gale Hospital to Leo Fleshman and Margaret Fleshman of Cloverdale, VA. He is preceded in death by both his parents, Leo and Margaret Fleshman, also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Darlene Fleshman.
Jimmy was the Owner of Fleshman’s Service Center for 52 years in Cloverdale, where he was a mechanic. He went to work for his father right out of Lord Botetourt High School in 1965. Later in 1968, his wife, Darlene, joined them, and they built a successful business and many lifelong friendships through the years.
The original business was located on Route 11 Lee Highway in Cloverdale, until it was torn down and relocated to the Simmons Dr location, where he retired and is currently Blue Ridge Tire and Auto.
He had a love for old cars and collecting them, which he passed on to his daughter. Jimmy was a loving caregiver for his wife, Darlene, for 16 years after her diagnosis of a brain tumor that was cancerous until she passed in November 2012.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherrye Fleshman of Blue Ridge, two granddaughters, Kaitlin (Hunter) Skidmore of Roanoke and Karley Burks of Cloverdale. A graveside service was held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
