Free lunch Saturday at Solomon’s Mission
Solomon’s Mission on Lowe Street in Buchanan will have its Second Saturday Free Lunch on May 9 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The meals will be made to go; drive up and someone will bring them out to the vehicle.’
The lunch will consist of ham, macaroni and cheese, green beans, slaw, roll, Little Debbie cake and a bottle of water, all provided by Jennings Creek Gospel and Cedar Bluff Churches.
Galatia cancels Community Meal
Due to COVID-19 and the restrictions on gathering and social distancing, the May 11 Community Meal at Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church has been cancelled.
Donations needed for Mt. Bethel Cemetery
Donations are being accepted for the upkeep of the Mt. Bethel Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The cemetery is located on Rt. 43/Narrow Passage Road near Eagle Rock. Mail donations to Etta Alexander, P.O. Box 5, Eagle Rock, Va. 24085.
Donations sought for Shiloh Cemetery upkeep
Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery is asking those who have loved ones buried in the cemetery or own plots to give donations to help with the upkeep of the cemetery.
