Botetourt County residents will have an opportunity later this month to discuss a variety of local issues during a community information meeting scheduled for Monday, June 22 in Fincastle.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the community room of the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department and is open to the public.
According to meeting organizer Don Obenshain, topics expected to be discussed include the county budget, the ongoing solar farm project, and the proposed data center project. Residents are also encouraged to bring additional concerns and issues affecting the county for discussion.
Obenshain said he decided to organize the meeting after hearing from community members who have expressed concerns about a number of issues currently facing Botetourt County.
The gathering is intended to provide residents with an opportunity to discuss those concerns, share information and engage in conversation about matters affecting the community.
While no elected officials or guest speakers have been confirmed to attend, Obenshain said he plans to reach out to several individuals before the meeting.
Residents seeking additional information may contact Obenshain at 540-765-8685.
