The Rotary Foundation of Buchanan has awarded a grant of $1,200 to Solomon’s Mission in Buchanan, in accordance with its application for funding. This sum will be utilized to provide a month of part-time employment to two individuals, allowing them to obtain the skills and aptitudes necessary to obtain full-time employment.

The Rotary Foundation of Buchanan, Inc. was established more than a decade ago by the Buchanan Rotary Club to provide a charitable vehicle to support the club’s community services including sponsorship of Boy Scout Troop 202. The Foundation is the fiduciary for assets created through that sponsorship. The Foundation is a Section 501(c)3 tax-exempt entity able to receive charitable donations on behalf of the Botetourt County Rotary Club.

The Rotary Foundation of Buchanan will accept written applications for funding of charitable activities in the Buchanan and larger Botetourt County community. Applications may be mailed to the Foundation at P.O. Box 771, Buchanan, 24066.
