At the March meeting of the Eagle Rock Ruritan Club, after a meal catered by Maw & Paw’s Diner, plans were discussed for a fundraising event in April. After a three-year fundraiser hiatus due to the pandemic, the club will sponsor a fish fry at the Eagle Rock Community Center from 4 to 6 p.m. on April 22. This event will be drive-thru take-out only. Tickets for the dinner are limited to a total of 200 at the cost of $15 each, including a cupcake for dessert. As long as they last, tickets are available from Ruritan members.

Club President Beth Leffel also explained the plans for a community event to be held at the Blue Ridge Vineyard on Saturday, May 13. The event will be a “Science Fest” and promises to be an educational event and a lot of family fun.

As a community service club, the Ruritans invite others to join them in promoting their motto of “Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service.”
