Fireworks in Fincastle, Buchanan
There are two opportunities to see fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Fincastle
- Fincastle started holding a Fourth of July Party in the 1990s on the playing fields at Breckinridge Elementary School, and will again have fireworks next Wednesday evening. The fireworks display will start at dark, but visitors are invited to make an evening of it with a picnic dinner, and to invite friends and neighbors. Paige Ware will be passing the hat for donations to pay for the fireworks.
Buchanan
- The Buchanan Community Carnival has been setting off fireworks to end the Independence Day activities, and that continues for the 65th year next Wednesday on the Carnival Grounds, Lowe Street. The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m. Anyone wishing to make a donation to help cover the fireworks’ expenses can contact the Buchanan Town Hall at 254-1212.
