The Lord Botetourt and James River golf teams had non-district matches in the past week as they warmed up for district play. The Blue Ridge District meet will be today at the Hanging Rock Golf Course in Roanoke County and the Three Rivers District was scheduled for Tuesday, also at Hanging Rock.
LB hosted Salem in a nine hole match at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club last Thursday and the Cavaliers won by three strokes, 160-163. Joe Crump led the Cavs with a score of 38, followed by Tucker Grimshaw at 39, Brett Pennington at 41 and Kaitlyn Mosdell at 42.
James River had match with Northside at the BG&SC last week and the Knights won with a score of 173 to 188 for the Vikings.Tyler Brown shot a 37 and was medalist on the day while Tyler Lester shot a 40 and was second lowest.
