Bernard James “Bernie” Klatt Jr., 84, of Botetourt, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 22, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Klatt Sr. and Marie Sesler Klatt; and his loving wife of 48 years, Luana Redden Klatt.
Bernie is survived by his daughter, Shannon Klatt; very special cousin, Bill Sesler; as well as many dear friends who meant the world to him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gentle Shepherd Hospice or the League for Animal Protection in Fincastle.
In keeping with Bernie’s wishes, there will not be any visitation, and a graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Simpson Funeral Home, Peters Creek Chapel, 540-366-0707.
