The Lord Botetourt competition cheerleaders qualified for the state event with a second place finish in the Region 3D competition at Northside High School last Saturday. The Cave Spring team edged LB by just two points to win the region, but the top two both qualified for the states this Saturday at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. The Cavaliers had five girls named to the All-Region team, Emily Hanson, Cami Hayes, Laila Alam, Kelli Reed, and Chloe Taylor.
