SIFT – Stop, Investigate, Find, Trace

This activity introduces participants to SIFT— a simple, practical method for evaluating the credibility of online information. Attendees will learn how to Stop before sharing, Investigate the source, Find trusted coverage from reliable outlets, and Trace claims back to their original context. Through brief, hands-on examples, participants will practice spotting misinformation and identifying trustworthy sources. This informal session is designed to build confidence and critical thinking skills for navigating today’s digital landscape.
