Horton scores two TDs for 5-0 JMU
Lord Botetourt graduate Zach Horton is a junior tight end on the 5-0 James Madison University football team. The Dukes return to action this Saturday with a home game against Georgia Southern at noon on ESPN2 after a bye last week. In their last game, on September 30, Horton caught two touchdown passes, including one for 66 yards, in JMU’s 31-23 win over South Alabama in Harrisonburg.

Cavaliers win Glenvar competition
The Lord Botetourt cheerleaders not only took first place in their division but were crowned “Grand Champions” at the “G-Town Throwdown” cheerleading competition at Glenvar High School last Saturday. The girls will compete at Stuarts Draft tonight, Pulaski on Saturday and next Wednesday, October 18, they’ll be at William Byrd for the Blue Ridge District competition.
