The Lord Botetourt golf team shot team score of 323 to finish second in a Blue Ridge District golf match at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club last week. LB’s Alisa Davidova was the medalist with a 65.
Northside won the round with a team score of 313, Camden Spangler shot a 74 and Ryland Stump came in at 75 to lead the Vikings. Franklin County was third at 330, followed by William Byrd at 331 and Staunton River at 374.
Davidova took medalist honors by nine strokes with her six under par score. Cole Cecil was next with an 84, followed by Jackson Taylor at 86 and Jonah Dunker and Micah Perdue tied for the fourth counting score with 88. Derek Bond shot 89.
The Cavaliers were scheduled to play in a Blue Ridge District match at Ashley Plantation on Tuesday of this week, but results were too late for publication. Next Monday, August 31, they’re at the Waterfront course at Smith Mountain Lake for a non-district match.
