Alisa Davidova shot five strokes under par to win medalist honors and lead Lord Botetourt to an 18-hole victory in a Blue Ridge District golf match in Hardy last week. The Cavaliers shot 312 at the Copper Cove Course.
Davidova scorched the course on a very hot day with a 67 on the par 72 course. Ryland Stump of Northside was second with an even par 72 and Derek Bond of LB was third with a three-over 75. Also scoring for the Cavaliers were Cole Cecil at 82 and Jonah Dunker with an 88.
Botetourt’s team score of 312 was eight strokes better than Northside and Franklin County, who both shot 320. The district golfers were scheduled to play at Hanging Rock on Tuesday of this week, and next Tuesday, September 15, they’re at Blue Hills.
